You've got the Power
You've Got the Power is a new resource pack that brings Parliament to life through
a series of animated films. Available for use with both primary and secondary age
students, the pack introduces how Parliament works and helps students to understand:
- The differences between Parliament and government
- Why laws are needed and how they are made
- How the election process works and what an election campaign involves
- What their MP does
- Different political systems
- How to organise their own vote
Developed by the Parliamentary Education Unit, the pack has been written and reviewed
by educational experts. Each pack contains a DVD/video and a supporting teachers'
booklet with lessons plans, information, photocopiable activities and worksheets,
which are all linked to the citizenship curriculum.
